Data import from data basesChoose from the menu File the order Catalogue data import. It opens a new window to the import of your catalogue data from data banks to itself. First the appropriate data source must be selected. Besides, the following data sources are supported by the GS ShopBuilder Per: paradox, dBase, MS Access, text, CSV and ODBC. Indication GS ShopBuilder standard: Divergently from here can be imported in the GS ShopBuilder standard only Txt-and CSV files. Press afterwards the button " file choose ". It opens a new window with the catalogue tree of the hard disk to itself. Click to yourselves by the catalogue tree up to the wished data source and operate afterwards the button "opening".
IIn the right window area the available fields are illustrated on the contrary in the catalogue file. I.e., here all information is found for the articles or records which are supported by the GS ShopBuilder Per with the creation of the Onlineshops. These are u.a.: goods group, article number, article designation, article description, price, file name big picture, file name middle picture, file name small picture etc. Now the fields of the selected data source must be assigned to the fields being available in the catalogue file correctly. Moreover the respective expression of the chosen data source is marked by mouse click; afterwards it is clicked on the arrow à
Now this expression appears in the middle window area under the designation for the import selected fields or expressions. Then the appropriate expression is marked under available fields in the catalogue file and afterwards is clicked on the appropriate arrowß
. Now the expression also appears in the middle window under the designation aim fields in the catalogue file. With it the first allocation is met to the import of the article existence. For all other available expressions or fields in the chosen data source becomes now analogously are gone forward, are met since all allocations. Click of the expressions in the middle window area with the right mouse key and choice from the context menu the met allocations can be deleted again or be changed. For a manual change of the allocations the window illustrated below opens:
So the option field can import first all are activated. Herewith the whole data bank is added to the articles already existing in the catalogue data bank or is suspended. The second option field WG, article number says that an article is respected as already existing if this shows the same article number in the same goods group. With the third option field WG, kind designation becomes analogously gone forward; but it is distinguished here not after the article number, but after the kind designation or after the article name. So it can be that in the data bank no article numbers were given. With the fourth option field only article number is checked on the contrary in the whole catalogue existence, also undependent on the goods group, whether already an article with the same article number exists. Now for the last three conditions can be fixed about other option fields whether the articles already existing in the catalogue data bank are to be headed with the import of the new article existence or to be ignored. In order to import the data in the GS ShopBuilder Per the button importing is clicked. The successful import is indicated, e.g., by the following message:
At this point is to be marked still that with the data import of course only the file name is taken over from pictures. So that the pictures appear then also on the appropriate Shopseiten, the picture files must be copied in the appropriate catalogues, e.g., "Onlineshop\images\medium" of the GS ShopBuilder Pro. Besides, the picture files which are filed(passed) in the catalogue "Onlineshop" of the GS ShopBuilder Per must already show either JPG-or GIF format and must be present as well already in the wished size. About manipulation of the button " Konf. protect " the met allocation can be stored for the data import. I.e., the previously described method of approach of the too appropriate allocations of the columns designations of the chosen data source and the catalogue file must take place in principle only unique. With other imports from this data source this configuration can be called again (" Konf. load "). The allocation of the columns designations taken place then automatically. Besides, in the GS ShopBuilder per stored configuration files have the ending ".sbi". With text or ASCII data (e.g., with the conversion from an Excel table) these are separated to the limitation of the columns by a comma (.txt), semicolon (.CSV) or by tabulator settlement (.txt). Will import in the mask " catalogue data " of the GS ShopBuilder Per as a data source "text" or "CSV" chosen, the window illustrated below opens. Here the columns limitation must be given in the area "Settings" in the text field fieldbegrenzer. For not representable marks, as for example a tabulator, "ASCII value" the appropriate number is put down in the text field. Now in case of the tabulator this appearance 9th the number is the columns designations in the field "column names" together, the correct Feldbegrenzer was elected, i.e. the separate columns were recognized, so that the button "OK" can be clicked. At this point would be still mentioned that with the " settings for the text import " normally the little control caste " field names in the first line " is activated. However, the little control caste must be deactivated if in the table from him the text file was stored, in the first line no column names were given. IIn this case applies the GS ShopBuilder per Pseudonamen (Field1, Field2, etc) to guarantee nevertheless the correct data import. Then these Pseudonames are specified in the field "column names". Analogously available fields in the file become in the left window area of the GS ShopBuilder Per the import of catalogue data the Pseudonames in the field " from which should be imported " specified which must be assigned then again to the " available fields in the catalogue file " So that the import from MS Access functions, MS Access 97 must be installed entirely on the PC. It is not sufficient to transfer only a MDB - to file to the computer. Should the mistake message appear with the import " to mistake with the shop of the IDAPI services Bibiothek file: ...\DAO3032. DLL ... ", so the file " IDDA3532 must about the VOLS. - administrator as a "DLL32" for MSACCESS. DLL " are put. In addition the following steps are to be implemented: Moreover it is clicked under "workplace / system control" the " VOLS. Administration ". Under "configuration" "Treiber/Native/MASACCESS" is marked; now in the right table becomes for "DLL32" with the arrow " IDDA3532. DLL " opposed. In conclusion the order "Take over" is elected from the menu "Object". Possibly, Windows must be restarted. With the import of data from a data bank source MS Access it is asked first with the data bank Login for the user's name and password. If you have met here no default, simply operate the button "OK". Then the window opens for the table choice of the data bank MS Access:
