The user's surface of the GS ShopBuilder Pro divides itself as follows:

Menu bar
Tools border with paging function,
Switchtable bzgl. of the different catalogue views (standard, list, detail, variants, product groups) as well as the cross Selling and Content management,
hierarchical tree structure of the goods groups,
Treatment border of the catalogue data or records.

Divergently from here particularly the functional character of the Switchtable is not available to the GS ShopBuilder standard. The goods groups can be put on only at a level.Besides limited functional characters (among other things arise for putting on the article records article on main side lacks here the check boxes, text input, detailed side put on, Slideshow, variant and the craft boxes to the default of the attributes).

The tools border provides the most important functions for the treatment of the catalogue data (e.g., to the insertion or cutting out the records) and to the creation and publishing the Onlineshops directly.

The menu border puts near the orders which Click also of the appropriate badges in the tools border can be called, other for the disposal.These are particularly the orders to the data import, for the call of the "settings") of the Onlineshops as well as to the commitment of the layout, i.e. for the choice of a style model.

You administer the texts and contents of the Onlineshops independently about the efficient Content management. Iin the " Content pool " you define the wished contents; about " Content assign " you can assign this to the separate goods groups simply by Drag and drop.

To the commitment of the layout a style model or a Template is selected (menu File the order Style model select ...).

Templates or style models

The GS ShopBuilder 5 is delivered with a style model. We place at disposal other style models in our download area:

You store the decompressed file simply in the catalogue "templates" of the GS ShopBuilder.

With the Templates it is about HTML pages with PHP extensions. These contain the keywords - marked by wandered clips - which take over then while producing the Shops in the GS ShopBuilder per carried out entries and fill therefore the Shoppages with text, pictures and links. Near the keywords orders are found in the source text of the HTML pages in order to integrate different JavaScripte. These are passed in the folder "javascript" in the catalogue of the GS ShopBuilder Pro. The JavaScripte are also inserted while producing the Shops and are responsible, e.g., for the functional character of the goods basket, the order occurrence or the integrated search.

The Shop is produced first locally on the hard disk. If the FTP attitudes are put down in order to feed the data on the web server correctly, the finished Shopseiten will simply transfer by button pressure on the Internet.

This means that locally on the PC the article existence or the catalogue data bank is maintained; on the Internet will transfer only finished HTML-, PHP-or Shoppages as well as the picture files.
